Dundalk Marine Terminal VPC
//Dundalk, Maryland
Wallenius Wilhelmsen selected TransDevelopment Group as Development Manager for a major expansion of its vehicle processing operations in one of the East Coast’s busiest automotive ports. The complex consists of a 37,000 SF processing building, an 11,000 SF body shop, and a 17,000 SF car wash and undercoating building. These buildings are integrated into the 72-acre vehicle storage yard, which TransDevelopment also redesigned and upgraded.
The facility is designed for a throughput rate of over 150,000 vehicles, with 12,000 storage bays and 25 truck loading spaces. The main processing building and the body shop plans allow for future expansions.
Prior to the Dundalk Vehicle Processing Center, TransDevelopment represented WWL during the original high & heavy facility planning at Dundalk Marine Terminal. In addition, TransDevelopment served as Development Manager for the advance automotive project using relocatable and temporary processing structures.
Following WWL’s success marketing the expanded VPC, TransDevelopment is continuing to assist WWL in several smaller-scale relocatable building projects at the Dundalk Marine project and elsewhere in North America.
